Change Inspired or Inspiring Change?

I often get lost in a tangent of thoughts in my head about how people learn and what skills or empowerment do they harness to create change. While stuck in a cycle of thoughts, my fingers tapped this out on Word, so I figured it may be a wee bit blog worthy, too.

Reflection is something I get lost with on a daily basis. I don't often share the soliloquies of my mind, we could be here all damn day🤔 ... but this morning I'm going to share something I think others may need to hear or may just want to validate for themselves:

I am constantly inspired by others. I pay attention to every detail of what they do, how they do it, their timing, their tone, their interpretations, etc ...

If they're kind to me, I notice and thank them.
If they're unkind to me, I notice and smile.
If they're lying to me, I notice and nod.
If they're honest with me, I notice and trust.

I don't need to call others out on their shortcomings. They know what they are, even if they think they are hiding them and spend their days denying them ... they know.

That's not my place or my role in life (unless you're hurting someone unable to defend themselves or an animal ... then it'll be all kinds of hell! 🤬). Instead, I learn from their faults as I do their skills and attributes ... which are what I focus on.

I don't expect or want anyone today to be who they were last year ... two years ago ... ten years ago ... I want you to be wiser, stronger, and more aware than ever of the person you are right now. I want you to appreciate the changes you've made in your life and recognize the milestones in thinking, loving, understanding, and living that you've reached. Then, I want you to set a new goal and live each moment making more memories than regrets. Does this mean the world will forgive you for being a jerk in the past ... nope, but the right people will and those are the ones who will keep inspiring you the most.

So many people wait until Monday or January 1st to embrace change as if it's a magical date on a calendar ... you know who you are ... when in reality change is occurring with every breath you take (no, not like the creepy 80's song! 😳) What changes are you looking to make? What changes about yourself are you most proud or aware of?

And no ... I'm not asking you to share them in the comments below, but I would be curious to know who read this whole thing ... lol ... 👍
